Fancy Pants Adventures Review
Simple but yet addictive

I have always been a fan of stick figure games, and Fancy Pants Adventures does not fail to disappoint this fan. A popular animated flash game originally created by Brad Borne, it has now been ported to iOS devices for mobile users to enjoy on the go.

A simple 2D side scrolling platform game, the objective of Fancy Pants Adventures is to simply get to the other end of the level while decimating anything that stands in your way.

Controls are made extremely simple. Up, down, left, and right buttons call for movement controls and are very easy to master. In later stages, players gain access to weapons such as a pencil which can be wielded and used to attack enemies that show up everywhere.

The main drawing factor for Fancy Pants Adventures would be that the overly simplistic 2D graphics provides much needed respite from the games of today. Much of the games out there are 3D and highly intensive on the eyes, with distinctively sharp and realistic rendering of the game landscapes. Fancy Pants Adventures does away with all that, instead opting for a style that makes the animations look to be simple doodles. Of course, that would be because you are after all taking control of a stick figure.

For $0.99, Fancy Pants Adventures definitely gets my approval for that one dollar. This is one game you will find yourself instinctively starting while on the bus, or when waiting for a late friend to show up.
